You would not believe your eyes

If ten million fireflies

Lit up the world as I fell asleep

‘Cause they fill the open air

And leave teardrops everywhere

But I would just stand and stare

I’d like to make myself believe

That planet earth turns slowly

It’s hard to say that I’d rather

Stay awake when I’m asleep

I remember back in the year 2012, in a relaxing evening – i was listening to this song. When I play this song on my piano – it feels equally great.
This is a timeless song that takes me to simple times when life wasn’t so full of anger and sadness
This song was the shit back then and now I’m realizing it’s actually a very sad song. As we grow up we realize a lot more about the things around us, music is a escape from that. I truly appreciate Owl City for begin a big part of my childhood. People are like “who here cuz of quarantine” bro I’m here to feel what I felt when I was a kid, forget every single mess that’s happening to me now, make me feel good again and love life. It’s crazy this song is partly about a teenager having feelings of nostalgia, and now the young adults are in the same phase The weirdest thing just happened, I went to the bathroom while listening to this song and while I was on the toilet I encountered a spider. Usually I would scream and jump back while I attempt to squish it from I distance but this time it was different, I had a full on conversation with the spider and kinda felt bad for it. Dont know why I’m sharing this but just wanted to let any of you who were interested know
