I will never forgive Taylor for not making a video for this beautiful song, definitely one of her best works ever. It deserved a worldwide release. ✨

This song will always be an echo that spells my biggest mistake on earth. To rip open my ex’s heart when he was trying his best to hold on to anything that’s left from our relationship. We started rough and I thought I can love him. Was going thru a breakup prior him. He was very gentle, kind. But that gesture came from a place called insecurities. And that never helped me to love him back. It was 4 years of wasted times. And memories.

After listening to the entire Lover album several times, I came back to listen to this wonderful and think how many of the great songs in Lover won’t see the light of day like “Getaway car”. So underrated, it deserved a great video with a Hollywood star.

“it was the great escape, the prison break, the light of freedom on my face” love that line, sums up the feeling of getting out of an unhappy or toxic relationship

I love how everyone knows Tom was wronged in this relationship, even Tay knows it. My poor man. Gotta admit a part of me dreamt they stayed together

Now I am married. To my bestfriend. Somewhat I bail from something I thought I knew. He taught me I dont know everything and that people are not things I can toss whenever I want. He taught me how to be a good person, a good partner to my husband.
