Id never heard the actual song until daddys home 2. Before i get blasted with hateful conments. Im only 29 and dont follow 80s music much. I knew this existed just never listened to it.
I remember when this song came out. It’s was a great song for a great cause. Boy George, George Michael and Bono were my favorite vocalists.
How young and beautiful they all are. Boy George blows the others away, vocally that is. Had a drink with him at a club on 57th st. Nice guy. The Ice Palace. I wonder if its still there?
Heading Freddie’s voice for 3 seconds during the live version of this, I get incredibly sad that he wasn’t able to be apart of the recorded version.
George Michael and Simon le Bon have really similar voices; mixing beautifully, then Bono comes in and that just makes this delicious oil and vinegar dressing…brilliant production…
