It was produced by Cape of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions and stars Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Shiv Pandit, Ronit Roy, and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles. Pokkiri Raja is a remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. On October 16, 2013, the film was released in theatres worldwide. During the scripting stages, the producer, Anthony D’Souza, and the scriptwriters were looking for a magnanimous character who could do justice to the role of Akshay Kumar Boss in the film who is depicted as a gangster who is always ready to support the poor and a larger-than-life character. They selected veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan to serve as the narrator and introduce Boss. According to sources, Amitabh Bachchan was sent the script ahead of time, and journalist-turned-producer Ashwin Varde (for whom the film is his first project as a producer) personally offered Bachchan the role over the phone, which he gladly accepted. Despite his hectic schedule, Bachchan completed the dubbing session in 30 minutes on August 31, 2013, at 8:30 p.m. IST in Juhu’s BR Dubbing Theater. This song has had multiple renditions. The song was first sung by Manhar Udhas and Sadhana Sargam for the 1986 Bollywood film Janbaaz. The song was  picturised on Feroz Khan and Sridevi. The original version of this song was composed by Kalyanji–Anandji and the lyrics were given by Indeevar. After that, this song has had two remakes, the first one was sung by Nikhil D’Souza and features Aditi Rao Hydari and Shiv Pandit. The lyrics for this solo track by Nikhil were given by Manoj Yadav. Later, a duet version of the same track was released as a part of the film. The video of this song that featured in the movie was picturised on Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar and was sung by Neetin Mohan and Arijit Singh.

The length of the solo version was 5 minutes 4 seconds and the duet version was 5 minutes 37 seconds. Both versions of “Har Kisi Ko” received mixed to negative response from music critics and audience due to the comparison between the composition and lyrics from the original to the recreated version. However, the songs became pretty famous with the audience.
