Kabira is a Bollywood song from the 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The song was written by Pritam Chakraborty and sung by Rekha Bhardwaj and Tochi Raina, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The track’s music video focuses primarily on actors Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Kalki Koechlin. The film soundtrack included an encore version of the same song, which was re-recorded by Arijit Singh and Harshdeep Kaur. Pritam composed the tune. Kapoor appears in the promotional music video for the song “Ilahi” in snippets. The encore version of the song has a more Punjabi flavor to it and is accompanied by many Hindustani musical instruments such as dhol, tabla, sitar, and shehnai to achieve the desired effect. The female lyrics in the version have been entirely modified and refer to a girl’s marriage where her family is present. The composition of the song is beautifully done, which makes it very popular amongst pianists around the nation/world who want to learn and play piano notes of this amazing track.
